Ask, and you shall receive

I read a prosperity tip recently in my babe Tara’s newsletter:

Your supply is equal to your demand. There is no lack of supply, only lack of demand.

That one hit me in the sweet spot. How empowering!

I started to apply this concept straight away and I’d love to share a couple of ways it’s played out:

Demand: A new yoga mat. The dog peed on my old one, and it’s a squishy hot yoga mat, so I can’t get rid of the smell. I had to buy a new one. I put it out to the universe that I wanted an eco-friendly, ethically made mat. I didn’t worry about the cost.

Supply: I found an AWESOME new Australian-owned company creating the exact type of mat I wanted – for the bargain price of $79 including postage. I was then offered an extra day’s work at the cafe (plus a whole host of casual attendees at my yoga classes) – more than enough to purchase the mat. Thanks, universe!

Demand: To feel more supported.

Supply: To start with, it came from people other than the one I really wanted it from, but I acknowledge and gratefully felt the support. Then I realised – I’m supporting myself. I can’t rely on ANYONE to give me what I think I lack. If I want support, I can create it in my life and take back my power. BOOM!

Demand: To teach yoga classes!

Supply: Two places to teach yoga appeared in my life, complete with students and marketing assistance – once I finally surrendered to the guidance I was receiving.

The only thing I’ll say here is be in alignment with your higher purpose, and be open to receive in ways unexpected. If you’re asking for something to satisfy an ego-driven desire, in my experience, it doesn’t show up how you’d like it.  This is still positive… One way or another, we learn to listen to our intuition, our higher self.

So, if you want something – ask for it! Start small, but don’t be afraid to dream big.

Is there something you want but you haven’t asked for?

Or have you asked and received in a BIG way?

I’d love to hear about it in the comments!

Lots of love,

Emma xo
